Then your esthetician will evaluate your skin using a magnify lamp, ask you about your goals for your skin, and make a recommendation for skincare products and treatments to help you reach those goals. Most facial treatments last around 35-45 minutes. Some facials that include other services, such as the anti-aging facial, take 60 minutes or more.
  • WHAT IS MICRODERMABRASION?
Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical, non-chemical, non-invasive method of skin resurfacing that utilizes fine crystals to provide effective exfoliation and rejuvenation of the superficial layers of the skin. When a more aggressive treatment is necessary, vacuum pressure can be increased to evenly penetrate deeper layers of the skin. Increasing the blood supply provides nutrients necessary for skin regeneration, repair, and increased cellular turnover. In return, improving the skins’ elasticity and texture, as well as balancing the pigment. How does the treatment work? The skin is washed to remove excess oil and dirt. Then, your Esthetician targets a stream of fine aluminum oxide crystals over the area. The crystals abrade away old, dead skin cells, which the vacuum then picks up with gentle suction. This promotes the growth of collagen and new, rejuvenated skin. Moisturizers and sun block are then applied to the treated area. How many treatments are required? Initially 5 to 6 treatments spaced 7-10 days apart are recommended for most people. Acne scars and or discolorations may require more treatments. Monthly maintenance treatments every 2 or 3 months can help to maintain results. However some results and overall betterskin texture can be seen after only 1 to 2 treatments. Is Microdermabrasion safe? Microdermabrasion is a safe and very common procedure. Unlike laser resurfacing or chemical peels, this procedure is not traumatic and therefore there is no downtime to allow for healing and recovery. But, as always, provide your full medical history and follow your pre and post-treatment instructions. Will there be any downtime? One of the advantages of Microdermabrasion is that it has no downtime. You can return to your normal routine and apply cosmetics directly after treatment. Who are candidates for Microdermabrasion? The ideal candidates for microdermabrasion are healthy adults who have relatively minor skin conditions or imperfections and realistic expectations about what microdermabrasion can and cannot do. Microdermabrasion works well for damaged skin, whether affected by acne, sun damage or aging; and skin of any type or color. Who should avoid Microdermabrasion? Microdermabrasion is not recommended for people who have deep scars, active keloids, undiagnosed lesions, a recent herpes outbreak, warts on the face, skin cancer, active acne (stages 3 and 4), sunburns or active rosacea, eczema, an auto-immune system disorder, or unstable diabetes.

The hair shoud be to about ¼ inch so the wax can grab the hair.
  • Can I still wax after a Facial service?
You can still wax if you received a basic facial that includes a cleanse, steam, exfoliation and mask. If you received a specialty facial that includes, , an alpha (AHA) or beta (BHA) hydroxy peel, microdermabrasion or any other deep exfoliation treatment, then you need to wait at least 7 days to receive a wax service. You should check with your doctor to ensure it's ok for you to wax after having any medical-grade facial treatment.

  • WHAT SHOULD I WEAR DURING A AIRBRUSH SPRAY TANNING ?
You can wear undergarments, a bathing suit, or nothing. Your chosen attire should be whatever you are completely comfortable with. Use of bathing suit or undergarments during the professional application process may cause permanent staining of the material. If these options are used, we recommend using old, or dark colored materials. Minimal amounts of cosmetic bronzer (which is water soluble) may transfer to your clothes after you redress and should not permanently stain your clothing. We do suggest wearing darker, loose, materials the day of your professional custom airbrush session.
  • WILL MY SKIN LOOK STREAKY OR ORANGE AFTER MY TANNING SESSION?
NOT AT ALL! Before, most self-tanning and spray tanning applications, and formulations were administered incorrectly. That meant inconsistent coverage, Not enough lotion IN DRY SPOTS, and too much lotion in one place left skin looking orange. Application methods and Formulations have taken a HUGE leap since then, making the overall experience and results far better.
  • HOW LONG CAN I EXPECT MY SPRAY TAN TO LAST
You can expect your tan to last anywhere between 5-7 days, the life of your Tan depends on how well the recommended skin care regime is followed; before, during, and after the professional application. Factors may also include each individuals skin type, and skin chemistry. Individual results may vary.
  • HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR MY SPRAY TANNING SESSION?
EXFOLIATE!!!!! We can’t stress this one enough. Imagine your skin being a canvas for an artist, the more blank the canvas, the better the results! On the night prior to, or the morning of getting your sunless tan, always use a non-oil based exfoliant to properly even the skin’s surface. Always shave or wax at least 24-48 hours before your session rather than the day of your session. Shaving/Waxing opens up the pores and they need to be closed for the tanning application. Shaving or waxing too close to your session can result in the “spotty” large pore look. The day of your tan, avoid any lotions and make-up that may act as a barrier to prevent even application of your tan. You may apply a powder to your face 2-4 hours after your session but must avoid all liquids/lotions until after you shower.
  • WHAT HOME CARE DO I FOLLOW AFTER MY SPRAY TANNING SESSION?
No Showering or Any Activities That Make You Sweat! The longer you wait to shower after your session, the better. The color has the opportunity to deepen and get darker the longer you leave the solution on. We recommend waiting a minimum of 3-4 hours before showering. Overexposure to highly chlorinated water, such as hot tubs and swimming pools, is not recommended even after your tan has developed. We recommend not exfoliating or using any abrasive cleansers in between sessions and up to 5-6 days following the session. A moisturizing cleanser is suggested for keeping your skin hydrated and moisturized. Use a moisturizing lotion after your shower the days following your tan.

  • HOW LONG DOES A EPI-DERMAPLANING APPOINTMENT TAKE?
DEPENDING ON THE LENGTH OF THE FACIAL TREATMENT, ADD ANOTHER 15-30 MINUTES TO COMPLETE THE PROCESS.
  • WHAT IS THE POST CARE FOR EPI-DERMAPLANING?
YOU CAN RETURN TO NORMAL ACTIVITIES IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING YOUR TREATMENT. YOU MAY BE SLIGHTLY RED & WIND BURNT FEELING AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT, BUT THAT WILL DISSIPATE IN A FEW HOURS. WE RECOMMEND STAYING HYDRATED AND PROTECTED WITH SUNSCREEN AT ALL TIMES.
